What units should I sell?

It's hard to guess which units will end up getting awakenings and how good they'll be; some are very minimal upgrades, others are huge (Baldr...).

Here's a very simple and generalized guideline:
  • 3-star base that cannot be awakened past 4-star: sell all.

  • 3-star base (minimum) AND can awaken up to at least 5-star: keep 1.

  • 4-star base character: Keep 2.
    If it's extremely good, you can keep more for fruit variant (e.g. keep extra Rapunzel units, so that you can have one set with ATK fruit, one with REC, for team function as needed).

  • 5-star base: keep all for now


It's also good to consider that in some cases, features like ultra-awakening might change a character in a way that negatively impacts part of their performance. For example, Amaterasu loses the C Skill Deity Killer, and Schrödinger loses Virus. For important units which do not yet have ultra awakenings, it can be worth keeping an extra copy, in case it ends up being useful to have one of each form.
